Alex Sanders is the commentary editor for the University of Conneticut's student newspaper. As a journalism and psychology major, she is facing the harsh reality of a competive job market.
Sanders encourages students and professionals to take advantage of college career resources like the Career Center at her school. She has also learned to network, even within her own family.
Sanders says you have to find motivation from within and realize that sometimes one must pay professional dues before landing an ideal position.
