When you're getting back on the job hunt, image isn't likely the first topic on your mind, but image consultant Linda Froiland says it's very important. "First impressions are lasting," said Froiland, who has been dressing musicians, actors, models, executives and everyday people for more than 25 years.
When it comes to a job interview, she says"...a person is judged within the first 3 minutes." Froiland cites studies that say 78% of a person's first impression comes from their body language and appearance as proof for her advice. She says, "...it takes 20 times to change that original perception." Froiland says people should "have an attitude of being current." While resumes represent expertise, Froiland says image represents marketability. Froiland suggests people research a company's culture, and dress appropriately to fit into that culture. That means a black suit might not always be the best thing! Learn more about Froiland and her image consulting services at http://lindasfroiland.com.
